Le Dîner en Blanc - Calgary celebrates its 5th anniversary!
Le Dîner en Blanc - Calgary celebrates its 5th anniversary on August 31st! From the outset of Dîner en Blanc International, Western Canada fell under the spell of the concept of Le Dîner en Blanc. Vancouver was first to dine under the stars in 2012 and the following year, three other cities joined the adventure: Okanagan Valley, Victoria and Calgary!
The first edition of Le Dîner en Blanc - Calgary was held in 2013 at the Central Memorial Park, considered by many to be the most beautiful park in the city. To relive the event via numerous photos and the official video – visit the Gallery Section at calgary.dinerenblanc.com - even the few drops of rain that fell that night could not have prevented the 1400 guests from having a lot of fun. The following year, the night took place in another park of the city, the Pumphouse Park. Thanks to the success of the first edition, nearly 2500 people gathered and this time fortunately, the sun was a guest at the rendez-vous!
In 2015, 2000 guests gathered around the Peace Bridge overlooking Eau Claire Park. The very modern and unique architecture of the bridge charmed everybody and contributed to the magic of the night. Last year, participant met at Confluence Plaza on St Patrick’s Island. Calgary residents once more demonstrated their willingness to party no matter the weather!
Thanks to the hosting team as well as the dedication of the volunteers and the innate sense of celebration of the guests, the 5th anniversary promises to be extraordinary!
